For these devices, there is a tool called the Infinity CM2SP2 tool that is used to perform various tasks. Among many other useful features, the Infinity CM2SP2 tool’s most highlighted feature is that it can be used to flash Spreadtrum Unisoc firmware files. If you are wondering why should you use this tool to flash stock firmware when your device receives the latest OTA update automatically. Well, this tool is used because the thing with automatic OTA updates is that a device only receives them in full working condition. If you flash an incorrect custom binary by mistake or otherwise, then you may end up with a boot looped device or it may even get soft-bricked. So in this scenario, your device will not be receiving any OTA updates.
Similarly, there are other reasons as to why users would choose manual updates. For example, the OTA updates roll out to devices in batches, meaning, a few of the devices receive it at first, and then it is slowly received by other devices. Users have to wait for a long until they receive the OTA update. To avoid all this, you can just go for the manual update. In this tutorial, we will show how you can do just that.
