In this simple guide, we’ll let you know that how to install TWRP Recovery and root Samsung Galaxy Tab E. Samsung Galaxy Tab E is a mid-range Tablet that was released in two sizes. The Galaxy Tab E comes with a 9.6-inch slate and 8.0-inch handheld. Only there is a display difference among both of Galaxy Tab E, but rest of hardware is same. The Tab E is a quite fast performer tablet. Both the Tab E 9.6 and 8.0 came with a Spreadtrum Quad-core 1.3 GHz CPU / Qualcomm Snapdragon Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU, 1.5 GB RAM, 5 MP primary camera, 8 GB / 16GB internal storage, 5000 mAh battery and running on Android Lollipop out of the box but it’s upgradable to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
You can enhance its performance via getting root access to make some custom operations. First, you will need to root it and then install custom ROM. By following this guide, we will root and install TWRP recovery on Tab E. The developers has released the latest TWRP 3.0.2 for the sm-t560nu of the Tab E.
TWRP (TeamWin Recovery Project) like TWRP 3.0.2-1 or TWRP 2 is required to flash the custom files. The TWRP recovery is user-friendly, and you can use it easy even if you are a beginner. If you would like to install custom ROM, uninstall bloatware, install 3rd party apps, and overclock the processor then you must root your device. First, install the TWRP on your Tab E then you can simply flash the SuperSU Zip to gain root access on your device. If you are interested in root and install TWRP recovery on your Tab E, then go ahead and follow the given instruction.
Note:
This guide containing the root package and instructions can be used only with the Galaxy Tab E. Check the model number of your phone if it is Tab E then go ahead, otherwise not. Do not use these instructions for any other device or incorrect variant.

Pre-Requirements:
- It is highly recommended to make a proper backup of your contacts, messages, photos, videos and other important data on your phone.
- Make sure that your Galaxy Tab E is on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop firmware.
- The battery level of your phone should be at least up to 70% to avoid unexpected shutdowns while rooting.
- Enable USB Debugging on your phone by navigating to Settings > Developer Options.
- Download and install Samsung USB Drivers on your PC.

Install TWRP Recovery on Galaxy Tab E and Root
Step No 1: – First, download the TWRP Package (TWRP-Tab E.tar), Odin tool (Odin v3.10.7) and SuperSU (SuperSU-v2.46.zip) files on the desktop of your PC for Galaxy Tab E.
Step No 2: – Copy/paste the SuperSU file to the internal storage of your device.
Step No 3: – Extract the TWRP file to get the file with .tar extension and Odin flashing tool also to get the Odin3_v3.10.7.exe file.
Step No 4: – Switch off the Galaxy Tab E to boot into the Download Mode.
Step No 5: – Switch on the device while pressing and holding Volume UP + Home + Power buttons at the same time. Once a warning screen with a yellow triangle sign appears, press the Volume Up button to enter into Download Mode.
Step No 6: – Run Odin as administrator on the PC.
Step No 7: – Connect the phone using its USB data cable with the PC.
Step No 8: – Once the Galaxy Tab E is connected successfully with the PC, the ID: COM port will turn Blue on Odin, and you’ll see “Added!!” message.
9: – Click on the AP button in Odin and locate the firmware file (TWRP-Tab E.tar) that you have already extracted. Select it.
Step No 10: – Ensure that the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options are checked, and the Re-Partition option should be unchecked.
Step No 11: – Begin the TWRP installation by clicking on the Start button in Odin. This process may take a few minutes.
Step No 12: – A PASS! Message will be displayed on Odin after the TWRP installed successfully and the device will restart.
Step No 13: – Disconnect the device and turn it OFF to boot into TWRP recovery mode.
Step No 14: – Turn ON the phone by pressing and holding the Volume Up + Home + Power buttons altogether to boot into the TWRP recovery.
Step No 15: – Tap the Install button in TWRP and select the –SuperSU-v2.46.zip.
Step No 16: – After the installation is completed, reboot the system.
Done! You have successfully Install TWRP Recovery and Rooted your Galaxy Tab E via Odin.
