Install Android 8.0 Oreo Factory Image on Google Pixel

Android 8.0 Oreo factory image is now live from Google for Google Pixel. Google announced the new official Android OS update recently for all devices. Steps to Update Google Pixel to Official Android 8.0 OPR6 Oreo Factory Image:

Follow the given step-by-step guide on how to update Google Pixel to the official Android 8.0 Oreo (OPR6) using the factory image provided by Google.

Step No 1: – First, download Android 8.0 Oreo Factory Image (sailfish-opr6.170623.012-factory-8ada9373.zip) for Pixel on the desktop of your PC.

Step No 2: – Next, plug your Google Pixel to your computer using the data USB cable.

Step No 4: – Power OFF your Google Pixel.

Step No 5: – Boot your phone into the Fastboot/Bootloader Mode while turn it ON by pressing and holding the Volume Up + Volume Down + Power keys at the same time till you see the Fastboot menu and START on top.

Step No 6: – Extract the factory image file that you have already downloaded on the desktop of PC.

Step No 7: Navigate to the folder sailfish-opr6.170623.013 and then copy/paste all the files to your Fastboot directory.

Step No 8: – Open the Fastboot directory where you have placed the factory image files and do the following depending which OS you are on:

  • On Windows: Run the file “flash-all.bat”.
  • On Mac: Run the file “flash-all.sh” using Terminal.
  • On Linux: Run the file “flash-all.sh”.

9: – The flashing process will be started on your phone. Wait for a while and watch as the process is completed successfully.

Step No 10: – Once the flashing process is completed, your device will boot now and will take about 4 to 5 minutes to boot on your first time.

Done! You have succesfully installed the official Android 8.0 OPR6 Oreo software update on your phone using the stock factory image from Google!
