But surprisingly, the update did not bring with itself the latest Android security patch, so this means that the devices will still be running on the March 2022 security patch.

At the moment, only the Indian variants of the devices from the OnePlus 8 series are applicable for the OxygenOS 12 C.17 update, according to the official announcements from OnePlus. The other variants will be receiving the update later.

You can check if your device has received the update by going to the Settings app and then proceeding to the Software updates section. You can download and install the update if it is available.
