How To Root Galaxy J5 J500H on XXU1BPG2 Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Official Firmware

These are the instructions on how to root Samsung Galaxy J5 J500H running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow firmware. 1:- Download CF-Auto-Root package (CF-Auto-Root-j53g-j53gxx-smj500h.zip) for Galaxy J5 from the above link on the desktop of your PC.

2:- Extract the downloaded Galaxy J5’s rooting file to get tar.md5 file.

3:- Run Odin flashing tool on your Windows-based PC as an Administrator.

4:- Connect your Galaxy J5 with PC using its USB data cable.

5:- Turn OFF the phone in order to boot into Download Mode.

6:- Turn ON the Galaxy J5 while pressing and holding Home + Volume Down + Power buttons at the same time to boot into Download Mode.

7:- In Odin, click on the AP button and locate the CF-Auto Root file that you have already extracted on the desktop of your PC.

8:- Begin the installation process by clicking on the Start button in Odin. Wait for the process to be finished successfully. Once the flashing process is completed, a green message “PASS” will be appeared on the screen.

Done! You have successfully rooted your Samsung Galaxy J5 running on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow using Chainfire’s CF-Auto-Root tool.
