Root XXU3COJ1 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop on Galaxy S6 Edge SM-G925F via CF-Root Method

Pre-Requirements:

  • It is highly recommended to take proper backup of all your existing data like installed apps, contacts, SMS, MMS, videos and data stored on the internal storage.
  • The latest version of a custom recovery like TWRP should be installed on your phone already.
  • Download and install Samsung USB Drivers on the PC.
  • Enable USB Debugging on your Galaxy S6 Edge by navigating to Setting > Developer Options.
  • The battery level of your Galaxy S6 Edge should be charged at least about 80% to avoid unexpected shutdowns while rooting process.
  • Your phone should be on XXU3COJ1 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop firmware.

Steps to Root Galaxy S6 Edge G925F on XXU3COJ1 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop:

Follow the given steps to root XXU3COJ1 Android 5.1.1 on Galaxy S6 Edge G925F Lollipop stock firmware:

1:- First, download the CF-Auto Root package (CF-Auto-Root-zerolte-zeroltexx-smg925f.zip) and Odin3 v3.09 tool from the above given links on your PC for your Galaxy S6 Edge.

2:- Extract the downloaded CF-Auto Root package on the PC to get a .tar.md5 file.

3:- Power OFF the Galaxy S6 in order to boot into Download Mode.

4:- Power the S6 Edge ON by pressing and holding Home + Power + Volume Down buttons at the same time.

5:- Run Odin on the PC (as Administrator).

6:- As the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge LTE G925F device is currently in Download Mode, connect it to the computer and wait for a while until Odin detects it. If the drivers are installed correctly then the ID: COM box will turn green in Odin after you have connected the phone successfully.

7:- In Odin, click on the AP button and navigate to the firmware file that you’ve already extracted (CF-Auto-Root-zerolte-zeroltexx-smg925f.tar.md5) and placed on the desktop of your PC.

8:- Ensure that you’ve checked Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time options and the Re-Partition option must be unchecked.

9:- In Odin, click on the Start button to begin the installation process that may take a few minutes to completed.

10:- Once the flashing process is finished, the Galaxy S6 Edge SM-G920F will be automatically rebooted.

10:- Disconnect the device from the PC after the home screen appears.

Done! Your have successfully rooted Galaxy S6 Edge SM-G920F on XXU3COJ1 Android 5.1.1 official software update. You can now find the SuperSU app in your apps list.
