In this guide, we will tell you all that is known about the Samsung One UI 3.1 update till now. One UI is Samsung’s own proprietary skin. The release of Samsung’s One UI 3.0 global stable version is very near and this new version will be based on Android 11. Talking about now, the Samsung One UI 3.0 beta program is in practise and the owners of the flagship devices of Samsung, including Galaxy S20 series and the Galaxy Note 20 have been a part of this beta program and have experienced the latest One UI 3.0. Their reviews will help them assist in the addition of newer features and functions to their Samsung devices.
The newer version of One UI brings with itself a lot of new visual design changes and the app drawer is organized in a better way. Animations have also been largely enhanced and user feedback regarding touch and motion is available as well. Similarly, a few more widgets have also been added for users along with a new dynamic screen and many other internal changes to improve the overall experience. Now, apart from the One UI 3.0 update, there is also the One UI 3.1 update. This post is to inform you about the One UI 3.1 update. Follow on!
Samsung One UI 3.1 Update: Everything we know so far
The One UI 3.0 is already available for use in some of the devices. The One UI 3.0 will get a further newer update, the One UI version 3.1. There is no release date confirmed for One UI 3.1 till now. As a result of some thinking and research, we can deduce that the One UI 3.1 update will probably be arriving after a couple of months. To be more precise, the update is most likely to be released in the mid of January 2021, around 14 January.

How is the release of Samsung Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra related to the release date for One UI 3.1 update? We thought you’d ask. If we look at the history of Samsung’s past updates and new flagship releases, we noticed a kind of a pattern. That is whenever Samsung release a new flagship series, they also introduce a new update for their proprietary One UI skin. This pattern goes back all the way to the release of the Samsung Galaxy S9 series which introduced with itself One UI 1.0 out of the box. And when the Galaxy S10 series was released, it came with the One UI version 1.1.
Continuing this practice, the Galaxy S20 series arrived with the One UI 2.1 skin and with the release of Galaxy Note 20, Samsung’s proprietary skin bumped to version 2.5. So we hope that Samsung would carry on this tradition and with the release of Samsung Galaxy S21 series, we will hopefully be seeing the One UI 3.1 update.
This fact eventually mean that Samsung’s Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra will be the first devices to be seeing the One UI 3.1 update and running them. Following them, the Galaxy S20 series and the Galaxy Note 20 will be the second ones to receive the One UI 3.1 update after the Galaxy S21 series. But what about the changes that the new version of One UI will be bringing? Well we should not be expecting any major changes over One UI 3.0. But users should be looking towards optimizations and improvements to One UI 3.0. In addition to that, there can also be some newer features.
So that was all from our side on One UI 3.1 update. We hope that you found this article helpful. If you have any queries or questions, feel free to ask us in the comment section below.
