can it be installed on indian 910 g
Can it be installed on Indian version of N910G?
Will this work on Indian version? Model name is still the same
Tried this on my Indian Note 4 – SM910G and it worked for me.
Followed below steps.
– Had Samsung KIES3 installed so took full backup including applications first.
– Didn’t install USB drivers just to check whether ODIN detects the phone and it did.
– Flashed the firmware using ODIN. It went smoothly and rebooted phone.
– Disconnected phone after it rebooted and started showing “Android is upgrading – optimizing applications x/114”.
– Then it started showing “Installing applications” for some time before going to home screen.
– All my data & applications remained intact and I didn’t have to restore from backup. Just the settings seem to have gone back to default so ringtones and notification tones have changed.
Hope this helps.
Installed it on my Indian SM-N910G and it works very well.
BUT the problem is that this firmware is for the telstra mobile. So even if it works very well it will also install telstra’s app.
It’s like when you get a phone on contract, it comes with that respective company’s apps and will work only on that SIM.
This firmware will work on Indian SM-N910G but it will also install those apps.
If you want to install a firmware for unlocked phones i.e don’t want those apps then download the firmware from the following link and follow the same steps as given above.
